Industrial supply industry trends Q3 2025 survey

Industrial Supply Trends is continuing our quarterly series of gaining marketplace insights and sharing it with you, helping you benchmark your performance. The Q3 Pulse of Industrial Supply survey is now open, until September 24th. Results will be shared the first week in October.

We need input from distributors, manufacturers, and independent manufacturer representatives (IMRs). Regardless of your level in your company, your insights will help us gain an industry-wide perspective.

And, depending upon the response rate, we may be able to share some insights by product category and/or end-user market! The key is getting enough responses.

Q3 2025 Pulse of Industrial Supply: Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities

The industrial supply industry continues to face both headwinds and new opportunities as we move through 2025. Distributors, manufacturers, and independent manufacturer representatives are balancing shifting customer demand, persistent labor challenges, and evolving supply chain pressures, all while trying to leverage technology navigate the challenges and opportunities derived from tariffs.

In Q3, we’ve seen mixed signals across the industry. While some distributors are benefit from reshoring initiatives and industrial and infrastructure projects, others contend with margin pressures from increased costs and price competition. Some distributors are benefiting from their digital tools; others are evaluating AI initiatives and some wonder “what’s next?.” Manufacturers are pushing forward with digital tools, automation, and sustainability initiatives, but remain challenged by skilled labor shortages,  unpredictable global supply dynamics, and continuously are balancing tariffs and pricing demands.

That’s why now, more than ever, it’s critical to capture the real-time sentiment of the industrial supply channel.

The Pulse of Industrial Supply survey provides a confidential way for you to share your insights and benchmark against peers.

Every response strengthens the value of the report, which is shared back with participants at no cost (and, if you didn’t participate last quarter but would like a copy, email us.)

This allows you to see where your business aligns – or diverges – from industry averages, helping guide planning and strategy for the months ahead.

Your voice matters. The survey takes only a few minutes, is completely confidential, and ensures that the perspectives of distributors, manufacturers, and reps are accurately reflected in this quarterly snapshot.

As always, we appreciate your support, comments, and consideration.
